Who do you resemble in your family? Can others look at you and see traits of your dad, mom, or grandparents? Who is your spiritual parent? The Jews who opposed Jesus thought that because of their physical lineage to Abraham that they were thus God's chosen people, already a part of God's family. But Jesus challenges their assertions that they are Abraham's spiritual children and thus God's children by applying the principle: Like Father, Like Son. IF Abraham was indeed their spiritual father, they would do the works of their father. He certainly would not seek to kill Jesus, the Messiah. And if God is their true spiritual Father, they would love His Son, Jesus Christ. Their intentions prove that their true spiritual father is the devil, who is a murderer and a liar. The entire human race is divided into two families; The family of God and the family of Satan. One is physically born into the family of Satan; one is born again spiritually into the family of God when one exercises faith in Jesus Christ. To which family do you belong? Who is your spiritual father? Like father, like son?
