The Servant Song in Isaiah 52:23 - 53:12 provides one of the clearest portrayals of the sacrificial work of the promised Christ in all of Scripture. It outlines His relation to the Father in this work as well as the nature of the work that He will do to rescue His people from their sin and the wrath of God by suffering God's punishment in their place. As we come to these last three verses, we find a clear picture of the reward that will come to the Servant when He finishes this work. The greatness of the Resurrection finds poignant expression in these words of the prophet Isaiah.
