Great Sermon! Since Jesus does not lie, then he WAS in the grave THREE days and THREE nights, so it HAD to be on a Thursday when he was entombed. Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, arising early Sunday morning. Dying on Friday would not allow Jesus to fulfil His own prophecy, as He Himself taught. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12:40. Jesus cannot, and DOES not lie. Jesus died on a Thursday night.

I need the notes Thanks for this enlightening sermon. The church which I attended in time past taught us that it was on Wednesday. I no longer attend it but still hold on to the Wednesday view. So it is very enlightening to hear that it was on Thursday, especially persuasive with the passage from Luke 24:13-21. In your sermon there is mention made of an attached note by Pastor David Ickes. I cannot find the attachment on SermonAudio and will be very thankful if you could attach it. I need more affirmation from the notes; the counter-arguments, Q&A, the within 3 days, after 3 days, the spices, etc. I need to know please. Thanks in advance.

Great Sermon! Don't celebrate Easter or Ishtar, not a salvation issue.
