To be saved, means to be delivered. To be kept safe. Preserved. Let us not be guilty of only thinking of the future tense of salvation…to see salvation as a fire escape, a deliverance from hell; but no more. Our salvation is more than that. It is the remission of sin, but it is also hope for today, as well as tomorrow. It is repentance and faith for yesterday, but also deliverance for today and tomorrow. We were saved, we are being saved, and we will yet be saved. We were delivered, we are being delivered, and we will yet be delivered.
