Before vacation, I gave a devotion for Speed Limit Gang dealing with the Resolutions Jonathan Edwards made when he was 19-20 years old. In the providence of God I copied and pasted the wrong one. Today I want us to consider that resolution. It reads: Resolution 22 Resolved, to endeavor to obtain for myself as much happiness, in the other world, as I possibly can, with all the power; might, vigor, and vehemence, yea violence, I am capable of, or can bring myself to exert, in any way that can be thought of. This resolution fleshes out another resolution Edwards made, number 6. Resolved, to live with all my might, while I do live. As great a Theologian as Jonathan Edwards was, this only can impact us if it is drawn from Scripture. Is this a Biblical principle? I. Does The Bible Say We Should Live 100 % for God? II. What Does This Look Like?
