We consider how Jehu is God's chosen instrument to bring judgment on Ahab's entire house. A closer examination is made of the three emphatic statements in v7-9 describing what the Lord will do as he brings righteous retribution on Ahab and Jezebel. The sermon concludes with a vindication of the character and ways of God in retribution and shows how the death of Christ is not only about the love of God but displays divine justice also as Christ is made a propitiation for our sins.
