We are picking up our study of Elijah which we left about a year ago to look more carefully at what the Scripture has to say about depression. Elijah, who had a great God given victory over the false prophets of Baal, became afraid and ran for his life at the threat he received from Jezebel. She promised to take his life in the next twenty four hours and he fled in terror. Remembering that Elijah is a man with a nature just like ours there are many lessons here for us as we live out our lives as believers in a hostile world, beset by the wickedness of our own flesh. Here we look also at David when he ran for his life and fled into the land of the Philistines.
