And this was done by the atonement of Jesus Christ who under Pontius Pilate hung on cross, & suffered, & bled, & died; so that the veil being 'rent in twain from the top to the bottom,' symbolized on earth, the fact that in heaven, Jesus Christ's 'ghost' or 'spirit' had entered into the heavenly Most Holy Place, thereby fulfilling the Lev. 16 Day of Atonement typology, for the atonement was now completed. Christ in the symbolism of 1 of the 2 goats in Lev. 16:15 fulfilled the typology, 'Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering … & bring his blood within the vail' … . And Christ in the symbolism of other of the 2 goats … fulfilled the typology, '& the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited,' in that he carried our sins far from us."
