R.C. Sproul once rightly observed that 'The Christian who compartmentalizes his or her life into two sections of the religious and the non-religious has failed to grasp the big idea. The big idea is that all of life is religious or none of life is religious. To divide life between the religious and the non-religious is itself a sacrilege.' What is implied in this statement is that, as Christians, we are to live lives that acknowledge that we are under the constant gaze of the Almighty; that there is never a time 'when no one is looking', there is never a time when 'the coast is clear' in terms of our being able to carry out the deeds of our sinful flesh. Many in the church today, especially those who have fallen prey to the 'carnal Christian' heresy need a Biblical reminder that salvation is not simply a change of mind effected by a spontaneous exercise of one's alleged free will, rather it is a radical transformation of the whole person wrought by God that will indeed result in a life that glorifies God. Listen now as Pastor Tim challenges all believers to live their lives 'Coram Deo', in the presence of God.
