Jesus Is Enough for Me!

1. Jesus, what a glorious Savior,For poor Adam's wretched race;

Though He had His Father's favor, Jesus took the sinner's place.
See Him living as a servant, God in pure humanity!
Can you look on such a Savior,
Say, "He's not enough for me!"?

2. See Him as He walks to Calv'ry, Falls beneath the heavy beam,
See Him cursed, hanged on the cross-tree,
All His loved ones to redeem.
Hear Him cry, "I am forsaken!" See His soul's deep agony.
Sinner, do not be mistaken,
Say, "He is enough for me!"

3. Will you now your heart still harden?
Are you yet so blind with sin?
Quickly go to Joseph's garden, To Christ's tomb, and look within.
In His death Christ was the winner,
See the stone rolled from the door!
It is empty! Oh, dear sinner,
Do you still need something more?

4. Do your thoughts still shift and waver?
Look to heav'n and see the throne.
Seated on it is the Savior, Heaven's power is all His own.
He will do all of His pleasure, None can stay His sov'reignty.
Can you not, now, say, dear sinner,
"Jesus is enough for me!"

Every Kind of Sin
"Who gave Himself for us,
that He might redeem us from all iniquity,..." Titus 2:14
Sins of heart.
Sins of lip.
Sins of life.
There are five things as regards sin, from which our blessed Lord came to redeem us . . .
its guilt,
its filth,
its power,
its love,
its practice.
By His death, He redeemed us from sin's guilt.
By the washing of regeneration, He delivers us from sin's filth.
By the power of His resurrection, He liberates us from sin's dominion.
By revealing His beauty, He frees us from sin's love.
By making the conscience tender in His fear, He preserves us from sin's practice.

I Saw One Hanging on a Tree!

In evil long I took delight,
Unawed by shame or fear,
Till a new object struck my sight,
And stopped my wild career.

I saw One hanging on a tree,
In agonies and blood;
He fixed His languid eyes on me,
As near His cross I stood.

Sure never till my last breath,
Shall I forget that look!
It seemed to charge me with His death,
Though not a word He spoke.

A second look He gave, which said,
"I freely all forgive;
This blood is for your ransom paid;
I die that you may live."
