“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, And shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 is the basis for an ancient Christmas hymn “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.” In its immediate context, this verse was a message of hope to King Ahaz, and of course in its ultimate fulfillment it is as well.
Ahaz faced some seemingly overwhelmingly powers that threatened his security. We too face a coalition of powers far worse than Syria and Ephraim. All the powers of hell, the ruler of darkness and his minions are set against us. They want us to remain in slavery to sin and death. We also face earthly powers against which we seem helpless and hopeless. Some seem to never go away or grow more and more powerful and paralyzing. They are no match for us. We can identify with Ahaz. But friends, God is with us! Here is the message of true hope, the only real hope, we have—God is with us! Immanuel!
Here is some feedback that we have heard from some of our listeners and some of our broadcasters who herald messages of hope each week.
SermonAudio is proud to be a partner with FAME as we co-produce a weekly 'audio journal podcast' called Five Minutes of FAME taken from a first-person perspective.
But first, some other encouragements!
The opening night and premiere showing of our first documentary film, Mungu Kwanza: God First, was a wonderful success. With around 250 people in attendance, Alan Dunlop brought a closing address after the showing. Click on the link below to watch!
“I listen to SermonAudio often and am very blessed by the many sermons you make available. It is great to listen to new sermons as well as to re-listen to ones that I have heard before.” — Mark Rea
"I really love SermonAudio. It is easy to use and it is great to have a mobile app for our members to listen to Pastors sermons on the go." Member of Pine Forest Estates Baptist Church
Encouraging broadcaster feedback..
Below is some of the feedback from broadcasters we've received just this past week. We encourage you to contact them and tell them that you saw them here!
Kris Estep, Barberville Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/barberville"I just wanted to let you guys know how much we here at Barberville appreciate all you guys are doing at SermonAudio., Your site had allowed us to have a far greater impact worldwide with the gospel than we ever could have by ourselves. Your services are tremendously affordable in comparison to everything else we looked at and we have had several folks visit and some join out church because of finding us through SermonAudio."
Rodney Lucas, Operations Dir., Community Church of Columbus www.sermonaudio.com/community"The site works great for us. We are a relatively new broadcaster and the we are thrilled with what we are able to do on SermonAudio. We upload sermons from three ministries within in our own church. We have regular preaching in English from our pastor as well as a Spanish and a Mandarin Chinese ministry. Every week, there is someone in our congregation who tells me they listened at home or during their drive time to a message they missed. This tool has been an encouragement to our church."
Ron Ralph, Cornerstone Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/pastorralph"The reason we signed up with SermonAudio is because it is a clear, affordable opportunity to get the gospel out to more people. We receive a lot of feedback (emails, calls, and letters) and we are truly humbled by this. Personally, I appreciate the relative ease of moving around the site and finding what I am looking for on SermonAudio."
Dallas Peyton, Jr., Cooks Chapel Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/cookschapel"SermonAudio is a good fit for us. We are in a rural area but it is very effective took in reaching more people. We have expanded our outreach using the site. We actually receive more feedback from listeners farther away than here locally. We have reached many people with the money we have invested monthly. We find that a lot more people will listen to sermons on your site now than will do on the radio or on other media. Your app makes sermons even more accessible to people. My son and I listen to other preachers on your site for own benefit. We encourage our people to listen to other pastors as well. My son listens to sermons every day using your app. SermonAudio has been a 'win-win' for us."
We would encourage you to read through more testimonials we've received over the years from both listeners and broadcasters alike.
