Mormon Church to provide 32,000 missionaries with iPad minis
There are no shortage of reports detailing the use of iPads in education, but this is something a little bit new. ABC News is reporting that the Mormon Church is planning to provide 32,000 missionaries with iPad minis to help them in their efforts to proselytize.
A test program that began last fall with 6,500 missionaries serving in the United States and Japan went well, prompting the initiative's expansion, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said in a news release this week.
Church leaders expect to have the specially configured mobile devices in the hands of more than 32,000 missionaries by early 2015....
There are no Christian doctrines whatsoever in the Mormon Church. Every Mormon doctrine is satanic. And the Mormon Church does not worship Jesus as God Whereas there are Christian doctrines in the Catholic Church and the Catholic Church has always worshipped Jesus as God. So for Jim Lincoln or anybody else to state that there are similarities between the Mormon Church and the Catholic Church is false.
Ah Jim, you are trying to draw a connection between "Utah's drug culture" and Mormonism. Do you also see a lack of violent crime in Utah as connected to Mormonism? (rated 45th out of 50 States in terms of violent crime, per the Census Bureau) Seems like if drugs were as big a deal in Mormon Utah as implied, there might just be more violent crimes, which follow drugs like cats follow mice.
PoT, you are showing that you have a teachable spirit, willing to learn from other Christian brethren, and that is always a good sign of regeneration. I remember when I was first born again, I knew not the difference between a Catholic and an Anglican.
Satan is very real, and his attempt to counterfeit Christianity is not limited to merely one religion (RCC), but extends to a multitude of religions, all of them claiming to be the real thing. And sometimes it can be very hard to get to the root through all the leaves.
Hey, I appreciate your honesty and humility and willingness to admit being incorrect. Like many folks in this world, you only needed to be humbly shown the error, rather than be BrowBeaten or Bible-Bashed, and you responded with appreciation and thankfulness.
Now your other point, which is that many Mormons are actually born again but remain within the LDS - no, not likely. If a Mormon member hears the gospel outside of their church and is converted, he will not be able to remain with his former, deluded friends. He would not be able to listen to false teaching week in, week out. After a while, if not immediately, he would depart, seeking to be taught only the truth as it is in the Bible.

Hey POT I am well aware of that, the name Mormon is based on it,i have had a chance to read through your recent comments, when it comes to Mormons you simply do not know what you are talking about and it shows, your comment that denominations are to define doctrine also reveals a substantial lack of knowledge of the purpose of the word of God,it is the word of God that defines doctrine for man and not man made and man centered philosophies that bear the names of men that absolutely do bring separation and strife.
I understand, you are one of those happy go lucky, ecumenical, big tent, all dogs go to heaven types I have dealt with many times and will continue to deal with and it is you sir who are "wrong again"...it is one way and by one name.
PursuitofTruth wrote: Dear John, Do I have to tell you yet again that I am not saying that Mormonism is completely right? I'll own to the fact that they believe in some lies. But I know Mormons who realy care for Jesus, who believe that he is their only hope, not their works. But what happens is that these men are pressured to stay in the Mormon church, and if they leave they will be shuned by their entire family!
now you are being called PoT, funny. look I have seen Buddhist tracts where Jesus was speaking to Buddha or something like that. Everyone wants a piece of the glory, but like every cult, one must come out of it. I have lost much to keep the faith and others have too. But its better to lose the world than your soul. I look forward to reading other comments. Glad Mr. Hranek has joined in.
This is exactly beck's purpose is to gray the lines. their salvation, their entire view of spirituality is different, occultic at times, and pyramid designed where those lowest know the least. I do not think its bad to listen to someone of a different religion for the news, but he is worming his way in, Baptist pastors pay big money to sit at his feet.
PursuitofTruth wrote: Unprofitable Servant I just said that I was confused. I never defended Mormonism, but simply said they were not a cult. I was wrong. I'm grateful for your concern, but I think I will keep my name since it is only the Pursuers of truth will find it, even if it takes a long time. I came to the truth. I'm sorry for anything I said to you or anybody else here that might have caused hurt or pain. God bless all of you and thank you all for pointing me towards the truth! #Peace on Earth Goodwill to all Men!
Thanks PoT, appreciate your posting, glad to see you see the truth about the Mormons, obviously several of us found your earlier statements disconcerting Thanks for posting.
Yes, I did read what you stated. I hope we all seek to sharpen our listening skills, and proceed from there.
I also encourage you to educate yourself on matters before you attempt to defend them; I think we've all had 'egg on our face' because we don't do educate ourselves accordingly. I am grateful that you've come to a right understanding of the dangers of the cult known as Mormonism; true biblical Christianity is one that follows the narrow way and understands the deity of God the Son.
May you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus, along with the rest of us.

As for temporal issues, since the heart of the unregenerate is defiled by sin, how can you pick the 'lesser of two evils'? It's of no concern to me whether or not Beck is right or Obama. I choose no sides concerning political matters, for the Bible clearly teaches that all are sinners. The greatest need of Beck and Obama is God's saving grace. Bear in mind, this world is not our home. Rather than choose sides, it's far better to warn of impending judgment and proclaim His truth.
Thought you might enjoy this quote sister. "politics divides men into two classes: tools and enemies".
