Pop icon Elton John calls Pope Francis "wonderful"

British musician Elton John described Pope Francis as "wonderful" in an interview on Sunday in which he said Jesus would support gay marriage.

A top-selling pop star and one of the world's most prominent gay celebrities, John said the leader of the Catholic Church was a sign of hope.

"He's excited me so much by his humanity and taking everything down to the humility of faith...it's all basically about love and taking everybody in inclusiveness," John told Sky News.

A Christian who professes to be saved and who understands the catholic church...one who doesn't mind attending his church's routine "mass-murder" (where the priest is conducting a murder with "Christ" as the victim) is tantamount to a professing Christian who routinely attends a devil worshiper's sacrifice. One who does such is either delusional or the devil's advocate or is possibly under coercion . (please note: the earlier emphasis on being learned and truly understanding catholicism).

By the way, I know you don't drive, are shy (but improving since your class), and have no desire to speak to people, but none of these should hold you back, and you can still sit in the back and then duck out at a new church. I also know that you like the fancy litergical services, but they are nothing but illusions of holiness, and are meaningless. Vain repetition, fancy robes, and golden cups don't make up for false and fatal error. They don't fool the God of the bible.

Again, it's never about any particular church, but rather, the Holy Spirit leading you out and far away from blantantly false, and fatal doctrines which are diametrically opposed to the very Word that they claim to hold so dear. Unfortunately, unbiblical traditions, papal dogmas and precepts are just as dear, and even trump God's own Word. For these reasons, people plead with you to due your due diligence to do some honest investigation, listen to God instead of man (Luther & brother), and run as fast as you can. Even Steve has recommended that it's time you come out of her and find a church that teaches, preaches, and lives God's Word, to the best of their ability anyway, not just claim to.

You have to have repentance. The works we need to see is that you have left the Romish Church, a true Christian will Come Out Of The Catholic Church.
I did repent when I embraced Jesus as Savior during an Altar Call at my brothers Non Denominational Church in November 1997. And according to the Bible and Baptist teaching I am saved and am a Christian. Just because I have not left the RCC doesn't mean I am not saved and not a Christian because nowhere in the Bible is church attendance/membership in any church including any Protestant Church mentioned as being required for salvation and entering Heaven upon ones demise. Jesus will not look at the church that one attended in deciding who enters Heaven. Jesus will only look at who embraced Him as their Savior and trusted in Him alone for salvation. You are adding another requirement onto salvation by stating that I have to come out of the Catholic Church. The Bible and Baptist teaching don't state that.

John Y., it's in everyone mind that you aren't a Christian. So, everyone has a warped mind except you?

You have to have repentance,

Matthew 3
8 "Therefore bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance;
10 "And the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Acts 26
19 "Consequently, King Agrippa, I did not prove disobedient to the heavenly vision,
20 but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.
James 2
19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?---NASB

The works we need to see is that you have left the Romish Church, a true Christian will, Come Out Of The Catholic Church.

If you had an inkling of what the mass and, virtually, everything else which the catholic church does, you would, not only eat your words, but spit out the wafer which you so, naively or ignorantly, ingest.

Only someone who has problems with actually becoming a Christian would defend the Romish Church. You prove this commentary, Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron? (Yes!) is true, John Y.
Chris,
It is only in your warped mind that I am not a Christian. If I embraced Jesus as my Personal Savior and I trust in Him alone for salvation then according to the Bible and Baptist teaching I am saved and am a Christian irresepctive if I attend the Catholic Church and don't attend an Evangelical Protestant Church. And I was just stating the fact that the Catholic Church is not a queer church because it does not support fruitcakeness and does not ordain openly fruitcake priests.

Elton John's self-fulfilling prophecy: ”... living a life of hell...” Revelation 22 :11.... do not make the mistake, Mr John, to assume that Jesus Christ will ever change his view on sodomy. There is no political correctness in Christ.

Elton John composed a few catchy pop tunes decades ago, apart from being a Homosexual and Homosexuality being all the rage he has no relevance and there is no reason to give any consideration to anything he says.

His title of "Sir" Elton is a bit ironic if one ask what role he plays in his relationship with his.....partner.

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
I hope your soteriology is more coherent than your eschatology & history, as Napoleon was a Catholic. Not just a Catholic, but he wanted to be honoured ABOVE the Pope as defender of Peters seat at the Holy See. Your claim becomes more ridiculous considering Napoleon affirmed Catholic religious rule in 'The Concordat of 1801' signed by Nappy and the Pope during the turbulent post Reformation era. Elton John has done more damage to RCC doctrine than Napoleon

If he only knew. If he doesn't find out, I guess that statement will actually be fulfilled prophecy in the end.
