A recently published Pew Research study finds that the percentage of Republicans who believe Darwin's theory of evolution is correct has dropped 11 percent in the last few years. The survey shows that in 2009, 54 percent of Republicans and nearly two-thirds of Democrats said "humans and other living things" evolved over time. But today the percentage of Republicans adhering to that belief has dropped significantly to 43 percent, while the number of Democrats has increased slightly to 67 percent.
