China Eases One-Child Policy; Abolishes Labor Camps Used on House Church Christians

China's parliament on Saturday formally adopted resolutions, easing the country's decades-old one-child policy and also abolishing its controversial labor camp system which was used against house church Christians among others, according to the official Xinhua news agency.

The two resolutions, which were part of a sweeping range of reforms announced by the ruling Chinese Communist Party last month, were adopted on Saturday at the bimonthly session of the National People's Congress' Standing Committee, or China's largely rubber-stamp parliament.

Under the new policy concerning the birth control rules, couples will be allowed to have two children if either parent is an only child. Provincial congresses and their standing committees have been asked to make their own calls on implementation of the new policy. ...

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.---NASB
about those politicians who claim to be Christian. We really need to put the screws to those Greedy Old Party members! I agree there is a verse 9 to the above, but I don't conveniently forget there's a verse 10.

V10 also applies to the present administration, don't you agree? After all, it is stealing the future from the country, by "transforming" it into a socialist paradise, and swindling the people out of their money, property, and freedom to do it. And getting drunk on power in the process. Your apologizing for corruption wears thin.

In case you have not noticed, Paul did not live in a representative republic where your political voice was issued by a vote. Paul could not effect governmental policies by voting against people who believe in rewarding abortionists, homosexuals, transgenders, pedophiles, etc. and want to steal from the workers to give to the shirkers.

You don't think Christians should use honorable means given to them to stop the forward march of immorality in our society??? My guess is you don't have any children who would have to grow up in muck of godlessness of the society around them.

Thank God, John Bunyan did not share your view and stood against the politicians (it was the civil authorities that threw him in prison for preaching without a license) of his day, because the Lord used that to give us Pilgrims Progress.

It has NOTHING to do with dominion theology it has to do with standing up for righteous that exalts a nation. We are told to stand in the evil day, not passively watch it overtake our society.

Yes, our number one means is to give the gospel, to live a sanctified life by His grace and pray. These ought we to have done and not to left the other undone.

Let's see, Mike of N.Y., the apostle Paul completely avoided politics, he used the political system at hand to further his evangelism, not political agenda. Christians were martyrs then for their religious beliefs -- not their political ones.

But, yes, Christians should have something to say about,

1 Corinthians 6

Anyway, Dominion Theology/Kingdom Now/Reconstructionism--Blessing or Curse? One can see from my previous comments, this is a rhetorical question. This is also from the same site and both are a little light on criticism, Reconstructionism

China is easing some of their tyrannical birth control requirements while the Democrats lick their chops in hope of winning the HHS Contraception Mandate at the SCOTUS in 2014 and eventually impose sweeping fertility restrictions.
