Texas' Attorney General Greg Abbott Vows to Defend Gay Marriage Ban as Couples File Lawsuit
Two same-sex couples in Texas filed a federal lawsuit this week challenging the state's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage that was overwhelmingly approved by voters in 2005. The couples argue that the ban unconstitutionally prevents them from enjoying the benefits of married couples, while the state's Attorney General Greg Abbott has vowed to vigorously defend the ban.
Lawyers for the couples said in court documents filed this week in the U.S. District Court in San Antonio that their clients are being unconstitutionally discriminated against by not being allowed to marry in the state, where in 2005, nearly 75 percent of voters approved a constitutional amendment defining marriage as being between one man and one woman. The lawsuit specifically argues that the June ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that overturned a key provision of the Defense of Marriage Act conflicts with state-to-state bans...
Here's what the gay rights agenda is really about...
Demanding tolerance gave way to demanding recognition which gave way to demanding equality which is now giving way to demanding superiority.
So much for the Stonewall excuse that all they wanted was to be "left alone"...
Gay fascists won't be satisfied until they've silenced every opposition - especially true born again Bible believing Christians...
Examine evidence where Christianity is being intimidated through bullying, threats, intimidation, laws or lawsuits - Christian business owners who are approached by gay couples trying to force them into compromising their beliefs and then suing them when they won't...gays picketing churches who's ministers preach that homosexuality is a sin - does that sound like "tolerance" ?
It's happening more and more - so it's not just about marriage equality anymore -
it's about eradicating any ideology that disagrees with homosexuality.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10: ‚ÄúDo not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.‚ÄĚ
I don't believe homosexuals are possessed, but I do believe that many have been abused as children. When it comes to the current generation, they are being taught that gay is ok, even glamorous and cool. They are being taught that it's not a choice but rather, God made them that way; He has changed and loves them as they are. Others believe it's a free for all because there is no God, we are empty, our lives have no meaning, we evolved from apes, and at death, it's just lights out. The attraction of male to male and female to female is beyond my understanding.
I do hope the Texas Constitutional Amendment, is modeled after the Nebraska one, "Only marriage between a man and a woman shall be valid or recognized in Nebraska. The uniting of two persons of the same sex in a civil union, domestic partnership or other similar same-sex relationship shall not be valid or recognized in Nebraska." It has passed court tests. We hope the Texas AG has as much success in this area as the Nebraska AG has had.
Good for the Texas Attorney General for standing his ground against those homosexuals who are obviously posessed by Satan. What is with the homosexuals anyway? Why are they trying to force their perverted lifestyle on everybody?
