Air Force officials decide they no longer need God’s help

The U.S. Air Force appears to be systematically removing the phrase “so help me God” from the oaths of office taken by officer candidates and enlistees.

According to Judicial Watch, a legal watchdog organization, the United States Air Force Academy has removed the phrase from some written materials, including the oath administered to new cadets, because of a single atheist’s objections.

Judicial Watch submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in May 2013 asking the Pentagon to provide records of all documents, policies, and communications related to the removal of the phrase from Air Force Academy materials. As of September, the group has not received an official response from the Air Force and has filed a FOIA lawsuit to obtain records that could shed light on how and why officials made the change. ...

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. James 5:12

Not that it matters any in a spiritual or prayer sense the US Air Force can carry on without the phrase and God will not be too worried about it.
But what it does indicate is the gradual process of de-Christianisation and de-Biblicalisation of America. Whereas before even the great mass of reprobates and the unsaved acknowledged these phrases and accorded simple human respect of the church and its place in society. Now the reprobates are actually rejecting any association with Christian values and statements. Does it make any difference? Well not really the unsaved will go to hell regardless of his impious utterings loosely based upon religion. We will no doubt observe all religious remarks and phrases be removed from all parts of society as we reach closer to the end.
Thanks for your great comment. I'll paraphrase; the tares are looking and acting more like tares! As long as we remember that a tare is a tare regardless of whether they use our Lord and Savior's name, then all is okay.

I don't just need God's help; He Himself IS my help (see Psalm 121).
