France’s first gay marriage is broadcast to nation

In a historic ceremony broadcast live on French television, the first gay couple to marry in France said, “Oui,” and then sealed the deal with a lengthy and very public kiss.

Hundreds of invited guests, including a government minister, gathered for the moving ceremony Wednesday inside City Hall in this southern French city. Hundreds more flocked to the square outside the building as Vincent Autin, 40, and his 30-year-old partner, Bruno Boileau, were wed.

The politically charged ceremony was held under tight police surveillance — a stark reminder of the months of bruising opposition to the new gay-marriage law that French lawmakers passed earlier this month. ...

Ah, SteveR thank you for showing me what I had overlooked! I forgot to mention that countries with a high Catholic population are also the most pro-queer. The Roman Catholic Authority (PDF) seems to forget that their laity will pay more attention to what Magisterium does than what it says, and of course queer priests being so common is encouraged by Clerical Celibacy, so it's not surprising.

I have no problems with Black immigration from the Protestant Christian Islands of the Caribbean. I have no problem with skin color. I have problems with Popular Folk Catholics, and for that matter, Ultra-Traditionalist Catholic who are usually the White racists of the Romish Church. I have problems with Romanizing America Through Illegal Immigration and the URL=http://www.chick.com/bc/1999/popevisit.asp> [serpents of Rome] .

I feel great sympathy for the Protestants in Mexico and welcome them here.

It can go without saying but should it? The Bible Says Homosexuality is Sin.

I noticed after the shellacking you received for your racial bias the last few days, you posted with primarily an irrelevant antiCatholic slant. Its refreshing that you have returned to subjects other than your anticatholic or antirace bias.
