The Very Reverend Albert Bogle handed over the Moderatorial baton to his successor the Reverend Lorna Hood on the first day of the General Assembly on Saturday.

In his retiral address, Mr Bogle said the Church would need to recruit 650 ministers in the next 15 years to address the shortage.

However, he said there was a challenge in attracting more men and women to come forward and offer themselves for ministry. ...

Way to go for believers.
"The Free Church (of Scotland 1843) has continued down until the present day. At the Commission of Assembly in January 2000 a division occurred because a majority was determined to act in a way that was against the constitution or ‘rule book’ of the church, which all office-bearers must uphold. A number of ministers and elders signed a ‘Declaration of Reconstitution’ in which they pledged themselves to continue the Free Church in a constitutional manner. They are the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing). We use this title to distinguish, solely for purposes of administration, the reconstituted Free Church of Scotland from any residual body claiming that title. We remain the Free Church of Scotland."

These are the "liars and deceivers" you spoke of yesterday, and today you refer to them as "gospellers"! Man alive!

I recon that Jesus Christ had the church of scotland among others when he delivered this condemnation to the Apostle John.
Re 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

The Church of Scotland threw the Westminster Confession of Faith out the window many many years ago, l know members who haven't a clue what it is.

I believe that many Christians, including ministers, had left the [unregenerate] church many years ago, and formed the Free Church of Scotland (continuing), which actually believes wholeheartedly in the Bible and WCF, and they would certainly have no truck with this rubbish. They probably saw it coming, and were fed up with all the unregenerate (baptised) elders, meeting at presbytery, and talking a lot of unregenerate nonsense to other unregenerate (baptised) elders. And of course, it was up to presbytery to appoint new ministers, and it does not bode well when unregenerate (baptised) elders appoint other unregenerate (baptised) elders to the ministry of a local (apostate) church.

The Westminster Confession of Faith, by which the Church of Scotland states that it adheres to and follows, states:-

"1/4 The authority of the holy Scripture, for which it ought to be believed and obeyed, dependeth not upon the testimony of any man or church, but wholly upon God (who is truth itself), the Author thereof; and therefore it is to be received, because it is the Word of God.a
a. 1 Thes 2:13; 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:19, 21; 1 John 5:9

And
"1/10. The Supreme Judge, by which all controversies of religion are to be determined, and all decrees of councils, opinions of ancient writers, doctrines of men, and private spirits, are to be examined, and in whose sentence we are to rest, can be no other but the Holy Spirit speaking in the Scripture.a
a. Mat 22:29, 31; Eph 2:20 with Acts 28:25.

Thus the Church of Scotland declares by todays Assembly decision on homosexual ministers, to be a bare faced liar. The father of lies is Satan.

Jim Lincoln will advise that this vote to ordain openly gay pastors for the Kirk's pulpit, no doubt, have something to do with "Babyface" Bush, the "notorious" Saul Alinsky, the "blasphemous" KJV, the "deficient" WCF or the "evil" Roman Catholic Church.

The Church of Scotland has voted to allow sodomites into the pulpit. The final vote is passed out to the presbyteries and will be announced next year. But clearly the majority of assembly members are Liberal - And therefore not real Christians. So the Kirk at last is revealed to be dead and worldly. They have voted to ditch the Bible and keep the abomination - completely opposite to God's Word and doctrine. I hope that all real Christian (if there is any left) will remove themselves from this Liberal Satanic abomination in Scotland and find the true Church.

BBC on Church of Scotland Assembly and Sodomy

Leviticus 20:[13] If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

This is a train wreck in the making. How could've John Knox ever guessed it would end this way?
