jpw, just an fyi, NAFTA created not destroyed jobs. Plus there was 52 months of healthy economic growth during the Bush years, no economist would call that a depression.
this started well before O..... been in depression since the housing bubble ponzi scheme, and this after NAFTA. I've seen the dismantling of industry and farming much of my life. I predict that with the road we are on.... within a decade or so, the countryside will be owned by huging farming conglomerates -- that will see food as simply a global commodity, with a continued downturn in quality of food.... between punitive measures in "death" taxes and younger generation wanting little to do with gm farming and leaving the family farms behind and farmers becoming elderly and rise of the powers such as China that the US debt is owed to, plus the insatiable need of M to control global grain seed, this is what is coming....
the answer would be for communities to open up their land to those willing to work on it. get the gangster kids out of the cities and give them honest work... lots of them want to work. its what should've happened after emmancipation and never did. now this entire generation needs emancipation.
