16,000 Christians & Locals Show Up for Rick Warren’s ‘Blocktober’ Alternative Halloween Festivities in CA
Famed pastor Rick Warren hosts an annual party for families who are looking for a safe, positive and fun way to celebrate Halloween. Rather than embracing negative messaging, children and parents, alike, can come in costume to play games and enjoy candy and a litany of family fun.
The event, called “Blocktober,” attracted an estimated 16,000 people on Wednesday night. While Warren’s house of worship, Saddleback Church, has celebrated alternative Halloween parties for most of the past 20 years, “Blocktober” has officially been in tact for the past three holidays....
uh huh wrote: Somehow I highly doubt it took $80,000 to out on this event. Some food trucks that probably paid to be there, or if not; either way it would not of cost them to have food trucks there, the visitors had to pay for their own food, animal petting zoo (a feww hundred bucks maybe for the four hours), a few jumping castles, cheap candy,...whatever, I'm guessing maybe $10,000 at the most to stage the event, would of been staffed by volunteers. Come on! you would be highly naive to think this did not bring in a nice, easy profit.
16000 people for $10,000?
I hope you arent on your churches budget committee, as that is .63 cents per person for

1) I doubt the event made a profit for his Church 2) October 31st is Reformation Day, a day we remember our sanctification from Rome. Oct 31st is only a wicked when you honour wickedness and not God. Reformation Day is in remembrance of the Luthers 95 Theses, and our freedom from Romes bondage of Saints. 3) & Please dont be hypocritical and pretend kids at your churches dont celebrate Halloween in wicked ways, odds are likely they do
Warren offered a meaningful alternative to the wickedness pervasive in the world that Gods children are exposed to.
If he honoured God and his Gospel at the event, I find it difficult to insult him over this.
