‘What Was Romney Doing? He Was Winning!’: Angry Chris Matthews Unloads on Obama Post-Debate
If there was any doubt who the liberals thought won Wednesday night’s debate, Chris Matthews removed all of it with his post-debate blow-by-blow. The MSNBC host unloaded on the president for not being bold during the debate and engaging Mitt Romney. In fact, at one point he yelled passionately: “What was Romney doing? He was winning!”

RealClearPolitics has the transcript [emphasis added]:

“Tonight wasn’t an MSNBC debate tonight, was it?” Chris Matthews said after the first Obama-Romney presidential debate concluded on Wednesday night.

“I don’t know what he was doing out there. He had his head down, he was enduring the debate rather than fighting it. Romney, on the other hand, came in with a campaign. He had a plan, he was going to dominate the time, he was going to be aggressive, he was going to push the moderator around, which he did effectively, he was going to relish the evening, ...

Obama supports sexual perversion (sodomy), the murder of children (abortion), the assasination of American citizens without due process of law (by drone or other means), the so-called religion of peace (Islam), the destruction of the Constitution and Bill of Rights (the so-called Patriot Act), etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. The list goes on and on and on.

How can any true Christian vote for that?

How will you answer God at the judgment?!

You're kidding, right? Being a Christian and a Democrat is a strange thing, but supporting the man in the President's chair, that's not Christian at all. Who should one support next... Pharaoh, Herod, Moloch? Lurker, I wouldn't go around accusing Jim of supporting these anti-God radicals. He probably has a historical connection with the Democratic party, at least when it attempted to do things (good or bad) for Christian purposes.
Yes, Marty, I was kidding. Jim can't seem to enter a comment any more without bashing either the KJV or the Repubs. But I wasn't kidding about the rest of my comment.

Jim states he's an independent but if you follow his posts there can be no doubt he will pull the Obama lever (again?) come Nov 6.

I'm not suggesting as such, but even in the early 20th century the Christian-sounding rhetoric was clear (e.g. William Jennings Bryan).

Jim claims independent but has on numerous occasions come to the defense of the dems and Obama, enough so that we all suspect that he has an Obama Biden bumper sticker on his car.

Also, when exactly did this democrat party that did good things for Christian purposes exist? I'm in my 40's and I can never remember such a time or party.

Go Mitt. I have to say that I was really shocked with Mr Obamas passiveness and lack of control with Lehrer while allowing Romney to steamroll over the entire debate. What? Nobody told me I had to speak without a teleprompter!

@Lurker: pretty funny dig about the KJV, even though I'm a major fan.

Judging by the media Romney beat Obama hands down in the debate. Romney is described as aggressive whereas Obama is described as less energetic during the debate. But will this sway the voters towards Romney? Democrats will still vote Obama, but swing voters are probably looking for something more concrete to overcome their apathy.
