New poll: Most Scots against gay marriage

Most people in Scotland want marriage to stay between a man and a woman, latest polling shows.

A majority (55 per cent) agree that ā€œmarriage should continue to be defined as a life-long exclusive commitment between a man and a womanā€. Only 38 per cent disagree.

And half of all Scots want the matter to be decided by referendum, only 39 per cent want to leave it to MSPs. Support for a referendum is even higher amongst young people.

Let me try and help you with this one sunbeam. Referendum for new parliament was 'yes' or 'no' to a parliament.

This article is about saying no to what is an abomination to Christians.

Therfore your wee 'irony' is not relevant and in point of fact is not irony.

"Decision on same-sex marriage laws delayed by Scottish Government

Jul 17 2012

EQUALITY campaigners hit out at the Scottish Government today after they delayed an expected decision on same-sex marriage laws.

Controversial proposals to legalise gay marriage were discussed by ministers at a meeting of the cabinet in Edinburgh. But they said further examination was needed before a final decision on whether to bring forward legislation could be reached.

The Government said a clear decision would be announced by the end of the month – and ruled out a referendum on the issue.

The Equality Network and the Scottish Youth Parliament both expressed disappointment while Labour said the SNP had displayed weak leadership." News on delay

That's ironic. It was one of your "little less liberal" referenda that created the detestable Scottish Parliament!

No sunbeam I don't!!
I put all my trust in God alone and not in sinners or their institutions.
I certainly don't trust NOR WANT the so called Scottish Parliament.
But at this moment in time a referendum is likely to be a little less Liberal politically correct and numpte than politicians are going to be, grovelling for votes as they do.

Two generations ago less than one percent of the people and politicians would have advocated for the absurdity of sodomite marriage.

Today, 38% of the people want sodomite marriage. Soon it will be over 50% with an aggressive promotional campaign.

And you put your trust in referenda? It is just another way of discussing and legitimizing the disgusting and illegitimate.

Thanks, Allan Schwarb, for showing us who the devout catholic trusts. And, of course, your prayer is to Mary to complete the usurption of Christ, all the while appearing to be an angel of light.

Look no further for the biblical definition of an antichrist, folks.

May God in His mercy save Scotland from this abomination.
Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination
v24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants."

Lord save Scotland for Jesus. Amen!

"And half of Scots say gay marriage should be decided by the people in a referendum, only a minority want to leave it to the politicians at Holyrood"

I too would like to see the referendum rather than the politicians decide. When we observe politicians today whether at Westminster or Edinburgh we see corruption wickedness and sin running their decision making process. THEY legalised the murder of infants in the womb and called it abortion. The definition of abortion in the dictionary pre1970's is a natural miscarriage. Redefining the word they gave the right to murder babies in this evil society.

Changing the definition of the word "gay" which used to mean happy or brightly coloured, it too has led this evil country to sanctify sin and make it legal and acceptable. Gay now means sexual perversion is ok, to the politicians and the secular world which includes the Liberals in churches like the CofS and the CofE both of whom are NOT CHRISTIAN OR BIBLICAL.

There is no such thing as quote "gay marriage" so Scotland England and every other 'land' can debate it all they wish. GOD SAYS NO TO SODOMITE BEHAVIOUR in any land in fact HE states that any land which accepts the abomination will be DEFILED. Lev 18:25.

V24 "Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things"

In 1931, when a committee of the Federal Council of Churches followed the 1930 Anglican Lambeth Conference by endorsing "careful and restrained" use of contraceptives, the Washington Post editorially replied:

ā€œIt is impossible to reconcile the doctrine of the divine institution of marriage with any modernistic plan for the mechanical regulation of or suppression of human birth. The church must either reject the plain teachings of the Bible or reject schemes for the ā€˜scientific’ production of human souls. Carried to its logical conclusion, the committee’s report if carried into effect, would sound the death-knell of marriage as a holy institution, by establishing degrading practices which would encourage indiscriminate immorality. The suggestion that the use of legalized contraceptives would be ā€˜careful and restrained’ is preposterous.ā€

-Washington Post, March 22, 1931

Perhaps the Washington Post was starting to fall off its rocker back then, but its prediction of "degrading practices which would encourage indiscriminate immorality" has come home to roost:

Global Gay Nuptials, for example.

"New poll: Most* Scots against gay marriage"

*By a thin and shrinking margin

"If sex has no inherent relation to precreation, and if man, rather than God, is the arbiter of whether and when it will have that relation, why not let Freddy marry George and Erica marry Susan? The contraceptive society cannot say that homosexual activity is objectively wrong without condemning itself. Objections to the legitimization of the homosexual "life-style" are reduced to the pragmatic and the esthetic. Homosexual activity, like contraception, also frustrates the interpersonal communion that is intrinsic to the conjugal act. And where that act should be open to life, homosexual activity is a dead end. It rejects life and focuses instead on excrement, which is dead."

Until the Scots dump the pill into the North Sea, they'll be plagued with homosexuality, gay marriage and all else united to the culture of death.

At least the Scots are standing for what they believe in. Here in the USA we need to do the same thing.
