US Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Prayer Case

A dispute over prayer in the name of Jesus has traveled all the way to US Supreme Court, but the nation’s most authoritative judges have decided not to get involved.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to clear up conflicting positions among various appellate courts regarding the historical practice of offering prayers at public meetings according to the faith of the prayer-giver.

By declining to hear a case involving a Forsyth County, N.C., invocation policy, the court allowed a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit to stand that permits prayer but requires the county to aggressively police the words of those offering them. Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) attorneys represent the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners. ...

Yes, but that's only the superficial story told us in grade school or even "Christian" schools. The rest is, the Calvinistic Separatists came here not because they worshipped a different God or even had a different theology, but because they believed the Anglican rites of worship were idolatrous, to be avoided at all costs, yet they could not live peaceably w/o harassment by James I's agents. So they would probably be horrified at what modern "Protestant" & even Fundy churches call worship today.

And ironically, English Catholics came here because they too fell under persecution from the Anglican Church. Hence Maryland, probably the only jurisdiction founded by a Catholic (Lord Baltimore) with freedom of worship. Yet millions of Catholics since did not come here for religious freedom, but economic opportunity, which was denied them in their S. German, S. European, & Latin American (all Catholic) homelands. Now we're losing that as well.

Once the power grid goes dark permanently, biblical Christianity will get back on track.

I miss the way we used to believe in the heritage of this nation. Now all anyone wants to do,it seems,is "fundamentally transform"this country into a land of atheists. Our history is being edited, revised and rewritten right before our eyes. Our children are being indoctrinated in public schools from an early age to believe these lies.True Christians are being attacked on all sides.

God help us to return to Him while there is still time to change the road we're on.

"they claimed to be offended by simply hearing the invited speakers deliver prayers that included a reference to Jesus Christ"

Satan seems to be working very hard these days in society. He wants to remove THE Name!!

Matt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Matt 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
