Atheist Nick Clegg discovers religion in time for polling day
Praised for defying political convention when he admitted in 2007 that he was an atheist, Nick Clegg appears to have undergone a rapid conversion.
The Liberal Democrat leader, who was criticised by David Cameron for his "holier-than-thou" attitude in the first of the televised leaders' debates, has written an article for The Church of England Newspaper in which he claims that Christian values are "central" to his policies.
as an ex-patriate Brit with no vote in the UK-election, not being allowed to vote was almost a relief. As a christian, I would have been in somewhat of a quandary.
Of course, one could have voted for the - presumed - lesser - "evil, that good may come" -
""My objective is to make space in society for every individual to pursue their [sic] own beliefs,"
Nick Clegg wouldn't know a Christian value from a plastic muck-spreader!!
This is the guy who wants school children to be taught that homosexual practices are NORMAL.
QUOTE. "Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg was under fire from church leaders last night after saying faith schools should teach that homosexuality is 'normal and harmless'. In a pitch to win the 'pink vote', Mr Clegg called for a raft of measures to boost equal rights. He wants all schools - including faith schools - to be legally obliged to implement anti-homophobic bullying policies and to teach that homosexuality is 'normal and harmless'" (Daily Mail 14/1/10)
The Liberal Party are morally corrupt, anti-Christian, socially irresponsible and would like to hand the UK to the European Union on a plate.
# Lib-Dems on crime. "The fact is, if the Lib Dems had their way almost 60,000 convicts who would otherwise be in jail would be walking the streets free. Among them would be 285 sex offenders, 3,565 burglars, 446 drug dealers and traffickers, two kidnappers, 102 people convicted of knife offences and 4,742 people convicted of serious violence." (Daily Mail 21/4/10)
Of course Christian values are "central" to his policies. Mr Clegg leads the party that promotes abortion, would introduce voluntary euthanasia and endorses the homosexual and lesbian agenda at every opportunity. Sadly, the other mainstream parties in the UK fair little better.
