Sir Leszek Borysiewicz says Church is wrong on hybrid embryo Bill

The most senior Roman Catholic scientist in Britain has attacked his Churchâ€™s opposition to proposed laws that will allow the creation of human-animal embryos for research.

Sir Leszek Borysiewicz made a passionate defence of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill and the science that it will make possible.

He said that the Church was wrong to conduct its campaign in emotive language that misrepresented the nature and purpose of the controversial research.

You're probably right that these laboratory experiments don't have souls, Minnow, but the principal objection is that the experiments are a vile misuse of God's gift of human sexuality.

It is obnoxious, along with all the other immorality. Mixing of human and animal genes or whatever is a sin.

Do you have a site which explains this ethical challenge from a scientific Christian perspective?

For example God is not going to put life(soul) into a laboratory experiment. Therefore is the "embryo" truly life form?
