Iran leader responds to ‘unfriendly treatment’
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad questioned the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks and defended the right to cast doubt on the Holocaust in a tense appearance Monday at Columbia University, whose president accused the hard-line leader of behaving like “a petty and cruel dictator.”

Columbia President Lee Bollinger and audience members took Ahmadinejad to task over Iran’s human-rights record and foreign policy, as well as Ahmadinejad’s statements denying the Holocaust and calling for the disappearance of Israel.

Ahmadinejad smiled at first but appeared increasingly agitated, decrying the “insults” and “unfriendly treatment.”

Bollinger said Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust might fool the illiterate and ignorant. “When you come to a place like this it makes you simply ridiculous,” Bollinger said. “The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history.” ...

Hello, This is Molly again, regretting my crass speech: "moronic drivel" is unkind and harsh, and I apologize. Please forgive me. Everything else stands. Thank you.

Dear AntiVaticanist Tony Lopez-Cisneros,

I think you are sincere in your words, so I have taken the trouble to print them all off and file them, so that if you ever have ideas such as running for Congress again or anything else that has an aura of respectability about it, your words can be published wherever needed to "enhance" your public standing.

Which does not mean I am ceasing to monitor your comments, reply to them, or call them what they are.

"Molly from California": Almighty God Commands you (and us) in His Eternal Word:

"11 Let the (older) woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not a(n older) woman to teach, nor usurp authority over the (younger) man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved (physically delivered) in childbearing (if she can still bear children), if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."

I Timothy 2:11-15

The Holy Word of God Cannot Be Broken !

You, "Molly from California", Have Broken The Holy Word(s) of God !

Repent !

The questions seem to be rather simple, Jim. If your opinion is based on these links, then tell us what it is.

Now, AVA, this is over the top! I call you silly and you call me a demonically inspired liar, uneducated, cultic, idiotic, assinine.

If the whole world finds me so, I shall certainly not argue with it, but I must ask:

Is this your typical manner of "treating older woman like mothers"?

Daniel, the booklet,

"Rendering unto Caesar"

or the sermon,

"The Believer and Politics"

should more than adequately answer your questions about respect for rulers.

However, the former Mayor Koch of NYC had some more interesting comments about the Columbia U. (fiasco?)

at the end of his blog he said,"President Bollinger, as an encore, why not invite Hugo Chavez? I think he'd come. You could provide him with a platform to enhance his reputation."

The feelings are mixed about the Columbia encounter.

This is a good question. The apostles did not go around badmouthing Caesar any more than Daniel and his friends dissed Nebuchadnezzar, et al. Christians in America have a Love-Him-If-He's-a-Republican/Hate-Him-If-He's-A-Democrat (but honor the office, ha ha) relationship to the Office of the Presidency. Both are wrong, of course. I watched in shame the jubilation exhibited by Christians after the shameful circumstances surrounding Mr. Clinton's shameful shenanigans. You would have thought they'd paid off the national debt the way Mr. Clinton's impeachment was received. On the other hand, Mr. Bush can do no wrong in some of these same circles.

Christians in Iran/Iraq/Darfur/Burma/wherever are in a more historically normal situation, that is where the government is wholly opposed to the spread of the Gospel (I am not saying it is right, only that it is usual), and yes, they should honor their government. DOes that mean they should rejoice in the wicked, murderous practices of the man who holds the office? No. How is this worked out in daily life. I would like to know the answer to this from someone who has lived it. It might be akin to how a beliving wife honors a wicked, ungodly husband, but I do not know, and of course there is a time for revolution, but ...

My first question is still open. Question 2: Can Christians in Iran say bad things about their president, or must they reverence him as American Christians reverence George Bush?

Naturally people are disturbed that the president of Iran was allowed/asked to speak at an American university, but Dr. Bollinger addresses that issue in his comments, which I hope anyone posting here as read in their entirety before posting (

It takes an impressive level of courage to face a man who could (probably) arrange to have you killed and call him an enemy, a tyrant, a dictator, and then tick off one by one his deficiencies on the world stage.

I do not have a television and am wondering if this is big news on the TV or on the talk radio shows.

Yes, AVA (Tony), I find you "really" silly. More so than anyone else I have ever encountered. Really. Very. Silly.

Mr. Lincoln is never silly, to be fair, and I always enjoy his comments, even this ironic one to daniel.

"michael hranek": Does what you say also apply to LOST Roman "Catholics", "Protestants", "Jews", "Mohammedans", etc., etc., etc.?
end of quote

Hmmmm? Just how much unfriendly treatment are they getting? But certainly everyone who is lost will face the wrath of God so what's your point?

So what if Dr. Bollinger gave a "succinct and brilliant" speach, as allowing Ahmadinejad to speak essentially nullified the things Bollinger said.

"pastor mike": Does that include Satan's side?

"michael hranek": Does what you say also apply to LOST Roman "Catholics", "Protestants", "Jews", "Mohammedans", etc., etc., etc.?

"cindy": If the "FEDS" let that Anti-Christ(ian) "Pope" (Joseph RATzinger) Benedict XVI into this "Land of The Free and Home of The Brave"; is it any wonder that they'll eventually let in Osama Bin-Laden: to re-unite with the Bush Family?

"web watch": Iran has "no homosexuals" just like the Satanic-Vatican/Roman-"Catholic"-Cult has "no sacerdotal-sodomite pedophile-priests", right?!?!?!

"dr. john": Bollinger invited AhMADinejad to Columbia U. so that he could make a National "SPECTACLE" of him. Bollinger, however, went to an EXTREME to display that The FIRST AMENDMENT To The U.S. CONSTITUTION is ALIVE & WELL. But Bollinger's FAILURE is that the U.S. CONSTITUTION is NOT binding to FORIEGN POTENTATES: From the SATANIC-VATICANIST "POPE" of Rome; all the way DOWN (or UP) to lowly ANTI-SEMETIC worms like SATANIC-MOHAMMEDAN Iranian-Tyrant (TYRANIAN) AhMADinejad!

"[Daniel]": CHRISTIAN-"Americans" are NOT to say bad/SPEAK EVIL things about ANY Rulers; be they FOREIGN or DOMESTIC. However, AMERICAN-"Christians" can say ANYTHING The U.S. CONSTITUTION permits them TO SAY!

"molly" is REALLY silly?!?!

Actually, Molly, some have a different take on Bollinger's agreement to let Ahmadinejad a forum. It appears to allow the idea there is something to debate about the Holocaust.

"Columbia's choice - and ours"

Right on, Daniel! This bum was picked by God for someone else, we can criticize him all we want! He's not OUR leader.

All of the comments on this thread are silly.

You can read the text of Dr. Bollinger's speech at to be cured of the vapid, one-dimensional arguments such as "Christians shouldn't say naughty things"--what simplistic nonsense. READ THE SPEECH. It is succinct and brilliant. What a moment for Dr. Bollinger, and God bless him for his clarity of thought, his courage in facing a powerful enemy, and his stand for America, Israel, freedom of speech, and truth.

Which of these two, Bollinger or Ahmadinejad, displayed a more Christian attitude? I'm proud to say I did not attend Columbia.
