Anglicans admit severe cash crisis
A CASH crisis in the Church of England is forcing bishops to consider radical moves including cutting clergy numbers by up to a third and making worshippers meet in each other’s homes, The Times has learnt.

A report to the General Synod next month says the Church has allowed itself to “drift apart from society”, undermining its mission to the whole nation. Some parts of the Church are little more than a club for existing members, the authors say.

Spelling out a deep-seated need for change, the report proposes solutions such as cutting the existing clergy numbers of about 9,400 by more than 3,000, training more laity to work unpaid and closing churches.

One diocese is already considering a plan to persuade congregations to forsake traditional church buildings and worship God in the living rooms of fellow churchgoers instead. ...

Can anyone name a single denomination that first embraced liberalism and then shrink to a mere shadow of itself?

The Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans and Episcopalians have all shrunk considerably in the last 50 years. What is the 1 thing they have in common? Hmmm...

The National Churches of England and Scotland [and Wales], are dying out.

All that is left is the flesh trying desparately, WITHOUT divine aid, to hang on to a few strands of a long time distant historic Church.

Human effort won't work.
In other words Liberalism kills.!!

The Anglican church was founded to justify the adultery of Henry VIII. It was founded on a compromise between the Reformed Faith and Rome, keeping what ever papish ritual and liturgy it could.

The Anglican Church was the fastest denomination to swallow liberalism in the 19th century, then institutionalise it. Its Bishops and Archbishops are chosen by God hating politicians. Its embracing of the State has always blunted its power to act. And the most wreched thing of all is that Evangelicals have refused to "Come out of her my people" (Rev 8:4) and so have bank-rolled this whole corrupt institution, keeping it alive to fill the Media with its soul daming filth and lies. The sooner it goes bankrupt, the sooner those true believers will be able stop compromising and start being faithful to their Lord.
