Update 3/25/02: As announced, SermonAudio.com recently introduced the PLUS Membership service in an attempt to alleviate some of our mounting operating expenses. However, due to the overwhelming feedback we have received and for the benefit of both listener and broadcaster alike we have once again decided to change the PLUS policy on the site.
MP3 sermons can now be streamed AND downloaded completely free of charge. In light of this free offer, we have made available a new and improved service for our PLUS and FULL Members that enables one to download multiple sermons unattended. You can read about it by clicking here.

We are carefully listening to each and every one of our listeners' feedback and are striving to be of optimal service to our audience while still trying to deal with our expense burden. Attention all users,We have very much appreciated the support of our broadcasters and listening audience alike for utilizing the tools found on SermonAudio.com to reach thousands more than it would otherwise have been possible. Every broadcaster and indeed every listener is important to us and it is with great deliberation that we make this announcement.
As many of you may be aware, the last number of months have been rather tumultuos for the Internet industry in general and SermonAudio.com has not been exempt. We've recently had to add a third T1 line for performance and stability reasons. SermonAudio.com is now operating on four different servers with completely mirrored hard drives, three T1 lines, and a RAID-5 arrangement with almost 200GB of storage for the MP3 sermons.
With the inevitable increase in our operating expenses, we've found it necessary to introduce a new branch of SermonAudio membership for our listening audience called "PLUS" members at $4.95 per month (effective March 15, 2002). All PLUS members will enjoy the following features:
- Your very own ad-free, family-friendly, filtered email address!
- Your own ad-free personal homepage which will feature:
- Unlimited photo albums.
- Customizeable background image and colors.
- A What's New section to keep all announcements.
- Guestbook with email notification and full editing.
- A Links section to share links to other sites.
- A built-in visitor counter on the "cover page".
- PLUS Members can also turn off all banner and button ads!
- You can also stop the weekly email newsletters.
- Ability to add "Favorite Sermons, Broadcasters, and News Items".
- Full access to the "Notification Manager".
- Ability to download MULTIPLE MP3 audio sermons (completely unattended) to your computer (anyone will still be able to "stream" and "download" single sermons online for free). Click for details.
The filtered email address actually presents a huge value for our members. It uses the latest "rule-based" filtering technology to filter out pornographic trash that comes in through the email. These "rules" are constantly being updated and refined by SermonAudio.com to specifically meet the strict requirements we desire for our members.More information about the different membership plans and a complete featurelist is now available in the revised About Our Services section.
Our mission to preserve and propagate solid, Biblically-sound preaching and teaching to the ends of the world for this generation and the next has not changed in the slightest but a project of this scope must be financed adequately in order to keep operating for many more years to come.
Making some features of the site only available to PLUS or FULL Members was not an easy decision for us because we knew that it would not be welcome for the most part. But outside of drastically raising the broadcasting fees, there would simply be no other way to financially maintain a site of this size.
