Great Sermon! I recently joined the Puritan Board online and on my introduction I discussed the theme of spiritual warfare, and was referenced to your sermon. Incidental? Providential? Regardless, I felt it was a lovely sermon, and although Middleton isn't the most convenient of places to reach, I will try to visit sometime soon!
There's probably a perception that mega churches are feel-good and shallow just because they don't offer the quiet, "religious" and reverent ambience. I can assure you that the mega church I attend is very much in order and totally in the Word. I came from a quiet church and never realized I could worship God in a personal and intimate way amidst the electric guitars, drums and singing until I joined this church a couple of years ago. Every church that is a body of Jesus that follows to Biblical Truth, whether it be mega or simply a home church of few, is better than not having a church at all which is what's taking place in many countries in "Christian" Europe. Blessings to you bro Davey.
Great Sermon! I thank God for gifting the body of Christ with the ministry of Pastor Martin. He is an extraordinary preacher. His influence upon my own preaching has been inestimably profound. I have learnt more about the art of preaching by simply listening to his sermons than sitting through many hours of seminary lectures.
