Most Americans are unbelievers therefore it doesn't matter even if they own and read an infallible English Bible translation. These are the scenarios of Americans who read their Bibles:
(a.) If an unbeliever reads a fallible Bible translation, he can only correctly understand the erroneous parts.
(b.) If an unbeliever reads an infallible Bible translation, he cannot understand even a jot or tittle of it.
(c.) If a believer reads a fallible Bible translation, he can only understand the infallible parts but cannot understand the erroneous passages.
(d.) If a believer reads an infallible Bible translation, he can fully understand all of it.
Thus, it's important for a believer to locate, read and study an infallible English Bible translation.
