Finally - the Truth about Giving in the Church! Hi Pastor LoSardo.
It was a privilege to have been given the opportunity to transfer your sermons from a few years back to mp3 format from cassette-tape format. Now the whole world, thanks to Sermon Audio, can be blessed with your powerful message to the believers, here and through many other sermons from Bread of Life Fellowship.
We find it interesting that it is this very sermon that means so much to us in the here and now.
For those who have avoided or walked away from the faith due to issues of financial responsibility and how it concerns your lives, this sermon is for you!
For Christians who have been told to give a certain way by their churches, lest they be 'cursed' in some way - you'll want to hear this.
For every believer who wants to learn what God expects of them when they want to know what 'worship' really is with regard to giving of themselves, time or money, this sermon is a must.
This sermon could, via God's Spirit within you, change your world!
Awesome! We're going to make a gazillion copies on CD to pass around to some friends.
What a perspective altering re-representation of the true 'Purpose Driven Life.' Our purpose to glorify God not for our own sake but for His own.
I was thinking too how marriage symbolizes this kind of relationship, in a very meagre way: I love my wife first and it benefits me as she loves me back for my unselfishness - she's closer to me for it, grows more loving and then I love her even MORE. The glory keeps getting routed back to her if the intent is to glorify her on my part FIRST. And with each elevating experience/exchange, the love I feel goes back to her more and more.
How much more is the glory we pour out to God for HIS glory to come back on us, not for our sake, but because of how wondrous He appears in that glory? I get it now - Nancy too.
Excellent Direction for Believers Dear Pastor LoSardo:
This sermon absolutely targeted a lot of the grave concerns about heresies and distraction that is infiltrating the modern church. If you don't mind, we'll be passing this sermon along (via CD) to a couple of pastors and others who may need to see where the dangers lie in so many of the 'new thangs' that try to make Jesus 'more palatable'.
Thanks for addressing this - we pray many will get back to the Christ of the Bible because of these kinds of sermons...they are few and far between.
