A look at the motivation of Rick Warren Here is an interesting article looking at Rick Warren's motivation: http://orthosphere.org/2012/12/13/peter-druckers-key-role-in-the-corruption-of-evangelicalism/
Actually, considering the above, it is no surprise that he would waffle.
God bless you, Mr. Swanson for your work!
Like Esau ... ... those who are more concerned about tickling men's ears sell their inheritance for a bowl of pottage ... so sad. (And I would like to second Brenton's statement: You're important to me, too - and I am sure very many others who are wanting to follow our Lord Jesus. God bless you.)
Obama is all about Obama. His desire is for power. Jesus told us to care for the poor, but he did not tell us to steel from one person in order to do that. Jesus also did not tell us that the government was supposrdd to teach our children for us, no matter how good their intentions supposedly are. There is nothing sanctified about the agenda that the governmrnt is foisting on our children. sex ed is an example.
Dirk Yoder writes: Then why did you register your children?
I have not registered them beyond a birth certificate and social security. I have not signed up for this but I do know many however, including family who have. They have taken the bait of free state homeschool $ and curriculum and this year put their son in public school.
They came "along side the parents." They offer ys all kinds of free stuff. All we need to do is use their books and get our kids tested by their tests. So many are doing it. They will not always be so friendly. As in Canada the giv will soon take control and be able to demand certain criteria be met. We need to wake.up. The state/gov wants our children. The Lord has given them to us to care for, to teach and to protect. Let us not so easily let the wolves into the fold.
It is amazing what people will do to get the carrot. The government has worked hard here in Idaho to get some control over the homeschool families. They could not do it through a frontal attack so they decided on another approach.
