TMC,hi glad about your garden.May you have a bountiful harvest. We have fig trees, olive trees, peaches, plums, oranges, lemons, mandarin, kum kwat, and my dad plants melons, watermelons and veges. We do not have a big garden, but it is so blessed by God.Everything my parents plant brings such harvest. We give to neighbours and my mom makes jam.
Thanks for your answers,I realised that I do not understand the way your country runs,or rather know its laws and by laws because I do not live there. You know better,so,I will continue praying for your country and the Church.I pray for Gods holy visitation upon your nation. Many blessings!!

Dave my brother and buddy, you never butt in,you are always a welcomed voice.
Geff, thanks for the link, and no,I do not think underpaid doctors is correct.
Penelope, yes,I agree that we all need jobs created in our respective countries.
TMC,good for you planting veggies!!My parents love gardening,we have fruit trees, veges, and my dad has pheasants and grouses.Enjoy!!
I believe Dave hit the nail on the head.We all need to see our countries turn to the Lord.He is the only Saviour and we are so desperate for His intervention for His healing and restoration.
Bless you one and all.May His grace, mercy, strength and peace be with you.Have a blessed week all!

Geff, actually people do not bribe for an appointment. We can get appointments with GPs,and any private doctor with a state medical aid or a private medical aid.In our country state medical aids are always better for many reasons. But,you do pay a percentage on some tests, meds etc.Bribes were a part of the system so to speak for operations. Now,they are being reported and of course not legal. Many doctors work for no more than 700- 800 euros, sometimes even less so they leave. We also currently have free healthcare for refugees that need medical attention.I really believe God will honour that.Bless you lots and in His grace.

Hi TMC,thanks for asking about my cold, still fighting it out!! You give some interesting facts on the matter.God did not want a king over Israel but one was appointed over the nation by God.Today,we gave governments instead of kings. And,God does instruct us to pray for them as they do have responsibility for the nation.I know that many young people that study take out student loans and spend 20-30 years of their lives trying to pay it back. This means that parents do not have the money to educate their kids.Do you not think that education is a gift? And that all Americans have the right to decent healthcare without paying thousands of dollars for it?The government gives billions for things like NASA,war, abortion clinics etc.I think your government wants a nation uneducated, uninformed, uncared for, malnourished and stuck on the internet.Anyway, just my thoughts, and glad to share thoughts with one another. You take care, many blessings

Hey Christopher, how are you friend? I hope all is well. You should see what is going on here where tax is concerned. The wealthy are not taxed because all their businesses are off shore, especially shipping, most ships are under other flags. But your average Joe gets taxed. The people can no longer cope, these laws are imposed by the EU,the bailouts do not help the people, they support the banks.God bless your business Christopher,I mean it.
Mike,I did not know that about your government. And,of course the taxes they get supports abortion, weapons etc.Of course,as far as corrupt governments go,Ours tops the list!!
Marty, for me,legal is important, but yes,as Jesus said, the root of all evil is the love of money.America needs funding for health, education. In my opinion, and this is an opinion, education should be free for all.Universities, educational facilities are extremely expensive. This is what governments want,to deprive a nation of education.Thank the Lord we still have free tertiary education.God bless one and all

Actually Connor,it does not sound like communism to me.All work, honest work that is is taxed( at least here it is). Also, this lady is in the beauty business dealing with people.Of course you must be licensed when you work with people, health, aesthetics etc. because you need to identify care concerns,be covered, know allergies, caution for burns etc.I actually prefer being in a hairdresser which have professionals and have been trained.Of course as I said, the other side of the coin is that it may be for tax evasion(I know here in Greece they go after the working class.)Blessings Connor, and blessings all

Good afternoon John UK,I understand your thoughts and statements.I agree about Christ- mass as pagan. But then again so is Saturday from Saturnalia, and Sunday as worship of the sun god. They all come from Roman paganism as you are well aware. But,you are a wise Christian.Put yourself here,in Greece for a moment.Let us just say you meet Greeks that are not born again believers, and you tell them I do not celebrate Easter or Christmas, what are you actually saying to them?Believe me John,I know we have a stronghold here, the spirit of religion. But,a Greek mind cannot understand what your mind has understood. To deny Easter/Pascha or Christouyenna will shut their hearts and minds completely to the Gospel.I agree with you 100% that they worship saints, that of course we cannot take part in.But His birth, death and ressurection are in His Word,so we will celebrate that and use it to our benefit for the Gospel sake.Believe it or not,a Greek mind is still philosophical, extremely skeptical, epistimonical and tradition is very very important to Greeks. So my friend, only the Holy Spirit can reach a Greek. But a Greek that comes to the Lord comes with His heart.God help us all is what I say.All of us in our respective countries, with certain strongholds to deal with. But praise God,Jesus our Lord has con

John UK,hi my UK brother from lovely Wales. In answer to your question about Easter, here are my thoughts. No,the words Easter and Christmas are not in the Word( other than Acts), in Greek though Christmas is Chritouyenna, which means" Christ's Birth". Here we celebrate His birth, which regardless of when actually did take place and is recorded in scripture, and Pascha celebrates His ressurection. If you tell the Greeks you don't believe in Easter or Christmas they will call you an atheist or a Satanist.Because, for Greeks Christmas is about believing in His birth and Pascha in His death and ressurection. So,we use such celebrations to speak about Him and talk about what His death and ressurection mean. This we can take straight from scripture.God bless the hearts of many faithful men of God who came from other countries to minister here, but unfortunately, they could not reach the Greeks because their approach is foreign to Greeks.I believe only the Holy Spirit can touch their hearts.God help us to minister with conviction, power and love.Bless you my friend, take care John.

Hi John UK,I have missed you my brother. How are you doing?About 4 years ago I was over in the UK during Easter time and I was so shocked at the atmosphere. There was no mention of Easter on TV,nothing happening in homes. We went to church for service and that was it.In Greece every Greek home bakes special Pasxa cookies,we get ready for it.TV mentions Easter throughout and everyone goes to church. The Word is even read with speakers for the people to hear.Mainly the gospels,Isaiah and Psalms. It may be the Orthodox Church, but it is the true Word they are reading in the litourgy.John stay well, many blessings.
Dave, doing well.Hope you are having some good weather out there. Many blessings

Hi Dave, how are you doing my Aussie brother? Here we are all well.I will soon be contacting you.I look forward to it.Bless you my friend.

Christopher I really believe we can all learn from each other and be encouraged by one another.I just think we need to bear in mind that the Holy Spirit is conforming us to His image daily and that is why we need love for one another.I have received many anonymous emails from " Christians" in my life. One wonders my friend how a Christian heart can even write such words. But,by His grace we move on with a soft heart and a sound mind in Christ.Bless you Christopher,to God be the glory.
Unprofitable Servant, thank you for the tech/email advice.I really need to join the 21st century.I do not even have Facebook,or do the twitter thing. This forum is the only communication I will do as I am more of a face to face person.God bless you all.

Hi Dave,of course we can talk about God.I do not know where your email is though,I am sorry,I am a little challenged when it comes to technology.Let me know where to get your email from.
To SC,of course I am born again, spirit filled!!I accepted Christ as my saviour when I was 13 years old.My sister and I broke away from the Orthodox church and never went back.My parents did not understand our stance, but praise God,within a year my mom followed, and in another year my dad followed My brother is also a Christian and my siblings married Christians. We are not Orthodox Christians,we stand on the infallible Word of our Lord.God bless you
