To SF and Observer,Greeks are different.Our culture,way of thinking is different.We are traditional people.Our history is thousands of years old.So,yes our culture is different.I obviously don't understand your humour and that's fine.I just think its a pity that even though this is a Christian forum we cannot express our opinion freely.I am therefore deleting this app after careful consideration.Americans once had a heart for the nations and respect for other cultures,this possibly being the greatest contribution Americans gave to the world.None the less,to all on this forum be blessed.Stay well,preach,teach and God's grace upon you all.

Oh,and SF,sorry to say,but it seems that the Biblical education you received or teach,teaches people to be rude and sarcastic to fellow believers from other countries,with the thumbs up from Observer.Is this the education you give your children.Greeks,yes,us Europeans pray for your country.We pray for all our brothers and sisters there in America.I am amazed at the way some brethren respond to comments.Christians in Greece including myself pray for you to be blessed and mercy on your country.Please,do not make fun of brethren in other countries,this is so sad.

Observer,why so much pride? It is lower,why do you not do some research.I am amazed at the comeback of my comment.Why such offense? Your own stats prove my point.

SF,why are you so angry? If this is your culture,American culture then keep doing it.But,please,do not tell me the Bible forbids state education because I have never seen that scripture in my life.I see though that we are told to pray for the government.By the way,not all parents have the luxary of being with their kids all day.It is sad that you have completely misunderstood my comment.Like I said,it is your culture and I respect that.We have different cultures and a totally different way of seeing things.So,really if all Christians are homeschooled then state schools are open to Muslims,pro abortionists,communists,murderers etc because the salt and light is not there.No praying moms and dads,no Christian kids,no Christian teachers.It is indeed a sad state of affairs,God help America.We will be praying for you

The best way to destroy a nation is to stop education.A nation without education is a weak one.Homeschooling has its advantages and disadvantages.The level of education is comparatively lower in the U.S.A to Europe.If those stats given earlier by a poster are for real then yes,the states is in trouble.It is a pity you have no state universities as I believe all children have a right to an education and a decent job.I cannot for the life of me understand how the U.S.A has become a nation where Christians don't care about state schools.Schools build a community,and we are the salt and light in any community.Then,you take out loans to pay off student loans if you do choose to study.I would fight for state schools to be better serve the community.The powers that be want an immoral,uneducated,segregated,apathetic America with food stamps instead of jobs.Despite our financial crisis we don't have food stamps.We band together and help in the community.The American ways are strange to me,sorry.
Connor,how are you? Hope you are well.Many blessings to all

Denominations are not important.God did not invent them,people did.I am not what people call Baptist or Presbyterian.I am what I am in Christ,saved by grace.What He has started He will complete.He sees the heart,the motives of the heart.We cannot do the work of the Holy Spirit,let us thus trust Christ with His church.He is more than able to complete what He has started in us.Not all Baptists are following Christ,just like not all that call themselves Christian actually are.Let us ease up on each other,if Christ accepts us as we are and patiently walks with us,why can't we accept each other as we are?

Home of the brave yes,however no longer land of the free.In about one month we are having a two day prayer service,the U.S.A is on our prayer list.
Take courage brothers and sisters.God loves you,do not lose your faith.Christ shines brightest in the darkest of times.His mercy endures forever.There are living stones in America,so,God is with you.Believe and you shall see the goodness of the Lord.Greek brethren stand with you.Rise above this,His joy and peace in your homes!!

Oh Kev,remember in Greek the emphasis is on the mood and tone of the verbs.The verb is the most important part of speech.Blessings

B.Warley,your interpretation of the scriptures you mention is totally legalistic.The women in your family are really bound.They must cover their heads at the supermarket if they pray.They must cover their heads at: school,work,all public places,restaurants etc.in order to pray,according to your interpretation of these scriptures.How binding!I pray everywhere,all day.Christ has freed me to pray anytime.Why do you make women so small and exclusive before God our Father?The Greek Orthodox Church does not permit a woman to hold( let alone read!)the Bible during her menses because she is called unclean.Do you see how that binds women? I choose to live my life in freedom with holiness.I cannot live by the law,I choose grace and holiness before God.Please,do not teach women to pray to God based on conditions you teach,let everyone freely pray.Look at the immensity of God,do you really believe God cares if a woman's head is covered when we pray?This seems important to men,not to God.God knows me,and I know Him.

@Just asking,
Why judge Dolores like that? Penned is right.Dolores was just stating an opinion.Sometimes,after reading some comments on SA I wonder why Christians focus so much on denominations.I don't understand it.It seems as if Americans do not accept Christians outside of their denomination.Why is that?Might I also add that the Church belongs to Christ,He gave birth to it with His own blood.It is one thing to use discernment and another to judge folks outside your denomination.I am not Baptist,but I will welcome anyone that comes in the name of our Lord.My God,please help us,if we can't accept each other as we are on a simple forum how can we receive a sinner as he is.
