The examples in the Old Testament were given to us to warn us against murmuring. We find in studying Israel's travels in the wilderness that murmurers are seldom satisfied, have self-pity, do not trust God, seek to overthrow authority, rebellious, provoke the Lord, are evil, are slanderers, are presumptous, and many other like sins. It was murmuring that caused the Israelites to remain in the wilderness for forty years. Murmurers are never happy. May we learn from the sins of Israel and enjoy the blessedness of fellowship with Christ.
