God tests His people and that testing is eternally valuable. His purpose is to prove to us whether our faith is genuine, and to bring us to repentance when need be. We live in a world where people can no longer connect the dots between human cause and divine effect. We reap what we sow. May our hearts always be tender to the Lord and others, and may our spirits be sensitive to the conviction of sin. A day is coming when each one of us will face the final trial with final judgment. Until then, may we ask the Lord to try our hearts now. "Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting!"(Psalm 139:23-24)
