Only the Spirit gives life. The flesh profits nothing. Our national problems are unsolvable by us. We cannot fix them by politics, by legislation, by the next election or by any power of the flesh. Our problems are not economic in nature or physical in nature; they are spiritual in nature and require a spiritual solution. The problem in the churches and in our country is spiritual death and only the Spirit gives life. Unless God pours out the Spirit upon us and gives life, we are finished.
