The fear of man is a trap. Rather than be imprisoned by what we think people think of us, we should read the pages of Scripture to know for certain what our Creator and Redeemer thinks of us. We should seek God's approval rather than the fickle approval of other people. We also need to be free from the fear of secret sin. A Christian is not an actor or actress, seeking the approval of others while covering up secret sins. We need to be real, beloved. God knows! The day is coming when the true condition of our hearts will be fully made known. Souls wither and die due to the infectious spread of hypocrisy. Whole churches decay to pitiful little social clubs. We need to be free from the fear of secret sin by full confession to God of all our sins. His grace is greater!
