Music by its very nature is emotional. Most of us are emphatic about what we do and do not enjoy emotionally. For that reason, the role of music in worship has been a source of intense controversy in the church for many years. But should our emotional preferences be of primary importance when we consider what God has to say about the use of music in His house?
Pastor Gary Hendrix believes that the controversy would not be nearly so intense - or sinful - if all God's people would prayerfully contemplate the Scriptures in a spirit of childlike meekness.
Beginning with the opening statement of the 1689 Baptist Confession ("The Holy Scriptures are the only sufficient, certain and infallible rule for saving knowledge, faith, and obedience"), Pastor Hendrix embarks on a 2-part series that seeks to address what the Bible teaches about the use of music in worship.
Best sermon I've heard yet on worship! I am the director of Popular music at PBAU. Formerly as a worship leader in many churches I suffered through the worship wars when praise choruses were first introduced. I am so thankful for your clarity!

Important and Balanced Sermon on Worship music Thank you Pastor Hendrix for this balanced message. This topic is hotly debated and it should not be. Keeping the Regulative principle is a non negotiable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It is biblical and includes important historical examples.
Great Sermon! The best explanation about the issue on worshipping music I have ever listened
important subject How early church before 300 a.d. interpreted music in worship,

Great Sermon! This sermon blessed me and was the most honest, comprehensive on worship music. I shared on Facebook too. May God continue to bless this ministry.
