What I hope to show you this morning is that to know God at all, you need to know Him as the Christian God. There is no such thing as a generalized theistic knowledge of God. To know God, you must know Him as this God, the Triune God of the Scriptures and of the Christian faith. Further, Paul teaches in our text this morning that you can only know God if your heart is in working order and receiving the intellectual light that emanates from God Himself.
