John 12 is the turning point of John's Gospel; it is the hinge from the "Book of Signs" (1-11) that testifies to Jesus' Person as Word made flesh, to the "Book of Glory" (12-21) that reveals Christ in His glory as Suffering-Servant-King-Shepherd. This glory of Jesus is clearly revealed, as the Scriptures and Jesus spoke, but for many it is not properly recognized or seen. Our prayer: "Open our eyes, we want to see Jesus".
