Whenever the God of all creation makes a covenant with men He alone is sovereign over its administration. By this we mean that He is in absolute authority over the terms of His covenants, but also that He is in complete control over whom He is pleased to make the heirs of His covenants. As we continue our study from Psalm 105 of the 645 years of redemptive history between Abraham and Moses, we see plainly that God chose who would be the heirs of the Abrahamic covenant, and that being a natural born child of a godly man does not mean that we automatically inherit our parents' faith: we must ALL be born again!
