God gave us another good Sunday and Thursday last week. We had a couple come that had not come for a while. The wife had come several times; her husband came once and left between Sunday School and the preaching service. After that he was in the hospital for a while and then when he got out was very much against his wife going to church. She didn't seem very sincere to us and I must admit I didn't pray for them like I should have. But yesterday they both came and he expressed an interest in being in a salvation lesson. He was supposed to come Monday but didn't.

Concerning the other family I mentioned before, the husband had a relapse last week and didn't come home for several days. During that time there is no way to get in touch with him, so I went and waited for the van that brings the workers out from the prison to a bus stop. It worked out perfect, and he came with me to his wife's work. He seems to have a right desire, he just has to get serious about repenting and learn to say "no" to "friends". We will keep trying to help and keep praying.

I am praying much for four families in our church, of which only one, the husband or wife, comes. I had the chance to meet with the husband of one of those families this past Sunday, and he seems also to want to follow the Lord. He said he prayed to receive Christ when I went to their house and did a series salvation lessons. Their daughter prayed but he expressed no desire to pray also, and I assumed he was not ready, thinking that I had not seen any sign of repentance and a desire to be saved in him. I found out he thought he could not come to church because he also sometimes gets with "friends" and drinks. He says he wants out of that trap and said he would be coming to church now.

We have seen several salvation decisions lately, some in our Saturday Bible club, and one teen girl. So we praise God for that.

We are praparing for our special services in April. We want to see more results than just attendance numbers. I will be dealing with some areas that I think our church people need to move forward in during the next few weeks, so please pray for good responses.
