I began writing books decades ago with createspace.com, which was swallowed up by Amazon. com in the last few years.

In both of these companies, I am permitted to charge what I want for books that I self-publish with them. But there is a minimum cost I am made to assess. I always choose the minimum amount so as to encourage any would-be readers to buy a book. The amount you pay for one of my books goes almost entirely to Amazon. I receive pennies for each book.

For kindle books, I am made to charge a minimum of 99 cents. I always round it up to...$1.00. Amazon gets the 99 cents, I get the penny.

My joy in writing is the knowledge that someone somewhere is going to know something about the Lord and His Word that he did not know before. Money is simply not a part of the equation.
