Concerning your discussions about the inerrancy and infallibility of scripture between post-apostolic and the reformers. I would first look at who control the scripture during that time. I believe it was the RCC. Very few people had a copy of the bible and most were illiterate. They pretty much were depended on and believe what the Church of Rome told them. There were a few exceptions Wycliffe and Hus, and we know what happen to them. |

I really enjoy your sermon. Christians need hear more sermons like this. Most have no ideal who and what they really are. On works, I read the James 3:14-20 and used to worry about if I was doing enough good works. But I read Ephesians 2:10, I read it , thought about it. I found a sermon from C.H, Spurgeon called, The Singular Origin of a Christian Man. What a blessing, great sermon. |

This is my list, not much difference in yours, except Roms 8 and Ephesians 1 &2 as 1 chpter. 1. Rom 8 2.John 1 3.Gen 1 4.Gen 3 5.Isaiah 53 6.1 Cor 15 7.Matt 28 8. Dan 9 9.Ephesians 1&2 10. 2 Tim 3. The reason I added Rom 8 and Ephesians 1&2, After the Gospel and Jesus Christ, to me the church/body of Christ(a mystery hidden in God before the creation of the world) is the most important theme in the New Test. You have to ask yourself what was his purpose for going to the cross,to redeem the church/body of Christ. Except for Acts 2 on your list, the church is not mention. |

I have only been a Christian for four yrs . I have constantly reading, studying God's word, prayer and meditation. I don't know much about the gifts. I haven't really thought about them that much. I believe God has given me a gift of discernment. But, what I don't understand is what does speaking in tongues, miracle healing have to do with coming to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus. I believe Mr. Piper does believe in continuation. |

Rev 12:17 is referring to Jewish remnant who keep the Law and Trib-Saints and/or 144,000 Jewish evangelist who have the testimony of Christ. Also, REV 13:7 saints also refers tribulation saints, I believe. Also you will notice VS 9 if any man have an ear, let him hear. Church is not mention, all the other times it is "what the Spirit says to the church". The church is not here. |
