“ An Important Message On Biblical Worship! ”
This sermon contains faithful teaching on biblical worship. It also exposes numerous forms of corruption in worship and the principles used to justify corrupt innovations in worship. These corrupt principles are according to man's will (i.e., Arminianism in worship) and not according God's will (Calvinism in worship). "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Matthew 15:9). Do you worship according to the commandments of men or the commandments of God? This sermon will help you to determine the answer to this question in the same way the best Reformers, Puritans, and Covenanters, determined the answer. Remember the Lord Jesus Christ said: "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:5). Also: "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination" (Proverbs 28:9).

*Hyper-Calvinism* is pure heresy.
For more insights into the errors of both Hyper-Calvinism and Arminianism please see "Arminianism Another Gospel" at http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?sermonID=106071354170

Here is a brief quote from this free book: "It is often alleged that Arminianism & Calvinism only differ in that the former chiefly stresses man's responsibility and the latter lays all the weight upon Divine Sovereignty. This is not correct. The Arminian does stress man's responsibility to the exclusion of the sovereignty of God, & this is a fruitful cause of more than one error. The man, on the other hand, who stresses the sovereignty of God to the exclusion of man's responsibility is a hyper-Calvinist & is in error on this aspect of truth just as surely as the Arminian. The true Calvinist lays stress on both doctrines as they are unfolded in the inspired and infallible Word of God"(Foreword).

On the Federal Vision and their denial of classic Protestant teaching on justification by faith alone, please see all the free books, MP3s, articles, debates, etc., at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/FREEBOOK/DWilson.htm

Doug Wilson, Federal Vision, Steve Schlissel, Steve Wilkins, N.T. Wright, Norman Shepherd, and others are all refuted here.

“ An Important Edward's Message For Our Day! ”
Especially in light of the multitude of trifles and vanities that Satan has at his disposal with which to waste the time of both believers and unbelievers in our day. "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil" (Ephesians 5:15-16).

“ The Reformation of Civil Government! ”
Good to hear the classic Reformation views expounded here! "Dr. M'Crie in his STATEMENT OF THE DIFFERENCE, shows that all the Confessions of the Protestant and Presbyterian Churches of the Reformation, both in Britain and on the Continent of Europe, held and maintained the Establishment Principle." M'Crie goes on to give extracts from THE CONFESSION OF HELVETIA; THE CONFESSION OF BOHEMIA, called the CONFESSION OF THE WALDENSES; THE CONFESSION OF SAXONY; THE FRENCH CONFESSION; THE BELGIC OR DUTCH CONFESSION; THE CONFESSION OF THE ENGLISH CONGREGATION IN GENEVA; THE SCOTS CONFESSION and THE WESTMINSTER CONFESSION, all proving that "these confessions harmoniously agree in declaring as with one mouth that civil authority is not limited to the secular affairs of men, and the public care and advancement of religion is a principle part of the official duty of magistrates."

“ HISTORIC PROTESTANT ESCHATOLOGY! ”
The Jesuit inspired views of Preterism and Futurism have done untold damage to the Christian testimony since these false views were first introduced to counter the classic Reformation eschatology of the Reformers, Covenanters and the Puritans. All the historic Reformation confessions and covenants were Historicist, as was the Geneva Bible. It is good to hear the classic Reformation view of Revelation (Historicism) being preached again. These sermons on Revelation are an excellent introduction to classic Reformation thought on prophecy. For more see Iain Murray's book _The Puritan Hope: Revival and the Interpretation of Prophecy_ (published by Banner of Truth), David Steele's _Notes on the Apocalypse_ (SWRB) and E.B. Elliott's _Horae Apocalypticae; or, A Commentary on the Apocalypse, Critical and Historical; Including Also An Examination of the Chief Prophecies of Daniel_ (1862, 4 volumes, SWRB). Though Elliott's _Horae Apocalypticae_ is a must read in respect to Historicism, the book is marred by its Premillennialism.

“ Another Puritan Mentioned! ”
I forgot to mention that William Perkins was also cited, in my previous comment. "Perkins was justly esteemed by his contemporaries as a master in theology," writes Charles Spurgeon (Commenting on Commentaries). "Called 'the principal architect of Elizabethan Puritanism' and 'the most important Puritan writer, Perkins was the first theologian of the reformed English church to gain an international reputation," writes McKim (Encyclopedia of the Reformed Faith, p. 274). “ Historical Testimony On God's Law! ”
This sermon contains an excellent use of historical testimony in regard to the Reformation view of the Old Testament judicial law. It includes quotes from the first Reformation (John Calvin, Martin Bucer), second Reformation Covenanters (George Gillespie, Samuel Rutherford), Puritans (John Owen), the Westminster Assembly (Westminster Confession of Faith) and others. Many who are Reformed today seem to be unaware of this faithful historical testimony to the teaching of scripture, making this a very valuable message. "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set" (Proverbs 22:28).

“ MARROW CONTROVERSY BOOKS! ”
SWRB has published the following two books related to this series of messages, see http://www.swrb.com/catalog/b.htm 1.The Marrow of Modern Divinity - Jeremiah Burroughs states,"If thou wilt pursue this little book, thou shalt find great worth in it." First printed in 1645, this controversial book was read in 1700 by Thomas Boston and had a profound influence on his ministry. Boston added copious notes to this edition, which was reprinted in 1718. His notes, which are often longer than the text by Fisher, are an invaluable addition to this work. Its contents are largely taken from the works of the Reformers and English Puritans. Three members of the Westminster Assembly wrote recommendations to the Marrow. 2. Gospel Truth Accurately Stated and Illustrated... Occasioned by the Republication of the Marrow of Modern Divinity (1827) - "Considered to be the best account in a small compass of the Marrow controversy," stated Cairns (cf. Johnston, Treasury of the Scottish Covenant, p. 486).

“ Everyone Should Hear This Testimony! ”
You'll know why I say everyone should hear this MP3, if you listen right through to the end. On Dr. A.E. Wilder-Smith: "As a true pioneer of the alternatives to evolutionary theory, Dr. A.E. Wilder-Smith fearlessly confronted the seemingly all powerful theory of evolution in the universities and churches all over the world. With over 10 scientific publications and numerous patents to his credit, Dr. Wilder-Smith was a much sought-after lecturer and professor. Universally popular with his audiences -- students, scientists, laymen, and military alike -- he won many awards for his speaking activities." “ Preaching on the Classic Protestant View of Islam! ”
A compelling look at historic Protestant views on Islam in Bible prophecy -- with application (listen to very end!). Much more on this topic at the sermonaudio blog titled "ISLAM in BIBLE PROPHECY (FREE MP3s & Books) Classic Reformation Eschatology (Historicism) On the Rise and Fall of Islam" at http://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details3.asp?ID=7780. "... when the classic historicist position is studied, the fulfillment in the case of Islam and Revelation chapter nine is seen to be so striking and well attested that 'even advocates of other approaches who are adamant in their rejection of the historicist system of interpretation have admitted the convincing nature of this particular identification'" (Steve Gregg, commenting on Rev. 9:1-6 in Revelation: Four Views, p. 176).

“ Many Important Points In This Sermon! ”
A very edifying sermon on practical holiness, who God is, and much more. I saw the documentary on the man who lived with bears (grizzly bears, at that!), which you mention in this sermon. I could hardly believe that anyone would do such a thing and the video was quite startling to watch. The end was also as you mentioned. Reminds me of these Bible verses: "These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God" (Psalm 50:21-23).

“ FREE VIDEO on the INQUISITION ”
This is a very revealing message from former Roman Catholic priest (of 22 years). Another good resource by Richard Bennett, is the FREE VIDEO, "The Catholic Inquisition and The Tools of Torture" at http://snipurl.com/1o8g9. About this video it is noted, "Because of the continued interest and requests for our Inquisition video, we again post it as our main streaming video. We have had constant questions regarding the number of people who suffered under the Inquisition, so we give here some historical sources. Firstly, from John Dowling's The History of Romanism, Book 8, Ch. 1, pp. 542, 543, 'From the birth of Popery in 600, to the present time, it is estimated by careful and credible historians, that more than FIFTY MILLION of the human family have been slaughtered for the crime of heresy by popish persecutors, an average of more than forty thousand religious murders for every year of the existence of Popery.' The main credible historians on the Inquisition, besides Dowling himself are Lea, Vancandard, Maycock, Coulton, and Turberville...The torture chambers of the Inquisition lasted 605 years and were found throughout the nations controlled by Rome... http://www.bereanbeacon.org/

“ Great Sermon! ”
Rome's bloody persecutions of Bible-believing Christians should never be forgotten. Richard Bennett bring us another important message in this lecture. C.H. Lea's set of four volumes, _A History of the Inquisition of the Middle Ages_ (1887), mentioned and quoted in this message, is available at a discount at http://www.swrb.com/catalog/l.htm. Gavin's _A History of Popery_ (1848) includes "An Account of the Inquisition at Goa and Macerata" and is on Reformation CD #16 at http://www.swrb.com/Puritan/reformation-bookshelf-cds.htm. Richard's MP3 "The Modern History and Tyranny of Roman Catholicism and the Vatican Vision Related To Past and Coming Inquisitions" at http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=71805213049 is a good companion message to this lecture. All Richard's messages on sermonaudio are at http://snipurl.com/1o8f6.

“ Very well done! ”
Glory be to God. Even includes one of my favorite Bible verses: "And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?" We (SWRB) will be adding a link to this sermon (MP3) to our web page under the section titled "Calvinism (the Sovereignty of God, TULIP, etc.) -- Dave Hunt and the Jesuit Connection, etc." at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/FREEBOOK/Calvin.htm .
