Hey Mike in New York, I would never call you a liar, I was just disagreeing with you on that one point bro. I usually agree with about 95% of your post. I also respect your opinions!Street-Preacher: Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ask yourself Street-Preacher, are you a stepping stone for the Kingdom, or a stumbling block!!! |

Mike wrote: I didn't hear Perry say anything that should be offensive to a Christian. But he did say things that would be offensive to unbelievers. Maybe he should have been more understanding of their feelings, and not said anything, instead speaking in pablum generalities like most politicians do. I'm sure he said a proper prayer Mike. It's just the venue. You are praying to men (voters) and not God! I'm sure God didn't even hear him! "He has his reward". |

(Mat 6:5) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.(Mat 6:6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. (Mat 6:7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (Mat 6:8) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. These are our Lord's words and not ours. I agree with you Jim. I think we may have seen our last Republican President from Texas for a while!!! If anything, it's events like these that actually hurt Christianity. |

Good comment Garrett, however, considering there where "christians" in america calling for prayer of President Obama's death a few years back, and supported by several readers on SA, I'd say it is rather mild. |
