I am so grateful to God for his Providence. I thank my God how he uses circumstances to bring about his purpose in our lives. His Providence led me to visit this church last August with my husband. While it was a different worship experience, I was spirituality fed and enjoyed the service. Pastor Briggs,this sermon was great, needed, and straight from the scriptures revealing the very heart of God. Thank you for your reliance on the Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. My heart is full of thanksgiving.

This was a really needed sermon that inspires, yet, is needed more for the many local churches that have been hijacked by the culture. We have bought into the tolerance, and I'm Ok, You're Ok culture. We want to be liked. We want to make people comfortable. Also Pastor Steve, I was really moved when you asserted that we must really hate sinners when we refuse to tell them the truth of the gospel which actually may inoculate them then from hearing the truth. I wish this sermon could be preached at my church.

The audio was not as clear on this one. Is there a transcript because I only got 3 of the four Awakening Truths, unless the means to awaken sinners was 3 and 4, the Spirit and the Word. It ended abruptly too.

I did a whole lot of gulpin' with this one, but I know, but I know, but I know you preach the clear truth!! I grew up in a home that was all about the JBS and the red, white and blue, and chapter mtings and such!! I feel literally sick to think of how deceived I've been. There are no sufficient words to say "Thankyou"!!

I have struggled with with subject for nearly 30 years. I've pleaded for grace to overcome an undesirable snippiness that I get with my family sometimes. I hate it. I want to be patient and never get snippy with them. I love them! And I love my Father in Heaven and I desire to walk according to the Spirit, but still after so many years I've at times even questioned my salvation. My husband and children say they don't know anyone who wants to please my Jesus more than me, but their encouragement has never helped. This sermon put thrill in me that is too wonderful to express in words. Thank you for putting it on the internet. I needed this message more than anyone. I often read works from the Puritans which has had two effects on me, great inspiration and grievious despair. Personal mortification of everyday sin is my greatest desire, and my greatest anguish and burden. How thankful I am for this sermon. Thank you.

Every Christian woman and every Christian father should hear this teaching on Biblical modesty. CJ confronts this very sensitive issue without compromise but with great compassion. We sat under CJ Mahaney's teachings when he was a young minister and we were young Christians. His sermons were powerful then and it's wonderful to see they have not lost the power of the Holy Spirit.
