Surrender. Blessed reminder that God waits that the last piece of our lives must be given to Him in dedication, put on the altar, so that He may send the fire of revival.
"The God of miracles is alive" Rev. Campbell has some good advice: "Beware of a cross that leaves you uncrucified." "We live to die." We are not going to a picnic, but a battle. May we "get to know our God."
So VERY NEEDED I must have listened to this and Paris Reidheads other sermons hundreds of times. Oh how we need to get back to Christianity and not some pseudo pop culture comfy club.
Great Message to the soul! A great message I wished every 'so called modern believer' could and would listen to. However, I am not naieve, for God said, "I have expanded hell"
ABSOLUTELY RELEVANT! Where are the men and women God uses as a means to preach the gospel for His glourious benefit and where are the men and women who use the gospel and God as a means of their own human gratification? Hearing this message, I've got a conclusion to 2 kinds of christians at the present age:1. christians that God is using as a means of His glorious end and 2. christians using God as a means to their humanistic ends. May we humbly ask ourselves where do we belong. honestly...
Great Sermon! GREAT life changing sermon !! listen to it first couple months after i was saved. Have listen to it several time since total helps me get God centered. If he would have started with "its not about you" could have been the purpose driven life sermon of the 80's. PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!!!
Thought provoking A message that brought me back to some of the basic ways I need to love and cherish my wife. How easily we miss our calling as husbands.
One of the greatest sermons of our time! The first time I heard this sermon I reacted to what was being said. Not because it was wrong, but because it described EXACTLY my own "christianity" and revealed the humanistic selfishness behind it. I've heard it many times since, and it's still refreshing! To think that this was preached so long ago, God really used Paris Redhead in a great way, and will continue to use him through this message today!
Great work of God. Accounts of the powerful work of God in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. And in Australia, South Africa. God visited His church in all the world.
A plea for prayer for revival. A wonderful message about the spiritual conditions before the revival of 1792 and how the revival came as answer to prayer meetings in all denominations in England and USA.
Preaching in Oradea about the Revival on Lewis. I listened to the 3 messages on the revival on Lewis and I wrote down notes (the transcription was really useful for names and places...). And I presented these things in a sermon preached on March 2nd, 2008, at the Golgotha Baptist Church in Oradea. It was a blessing! People came to me at the end of the meeting thanking me for the message. I am thankful to God for this and to you for letting me know about this blessed event, through your site!
Response to Women Preachers God is very clear in His word: "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." -- 1 Timothy 2:11-12. This is referring to in the church. Some men may have "dropped the ball" but this does not make God's commandment void. The woman can teach her family and raise them up right (Titus 2:3). Many Christians have compromised with the world, and tried to stretch God's laws. You don't stretch God's laws. It's either you follow them or you don't. No women preachers, period. That's the end of it, by God's word. If your Pastor has dropped the ball then find a different one. Don't make God's word void. Follow all of it and not just part of it.
